How commercial relationships work at Circular Abundance, and how we keep them from influencing what we write.

To confirm before publication

  • Whether any affiliate, referral or sponsored relationships exist at launch.
  • Which affiliate programs or networks will be used, and any program rules about wording.
  • The operator name, as in the Privacy Policy.
  • Any additional disclosure required for the jurisdictions where the site is read.

Our current position

Our principles if that changes

Circular Abundance may, in future, earn revenue from affiliate links, manufacturer referrals, clearly disclosed sponsorships or premium tools. If we do, these principles apply.

  • Independence first. Commercial relationships do not decide what we cover, how we assess it or what conclusions we reach.
  • No paying for assessments. Companies cannot buy a favourable review, ranking or comparison result.
  • Clear labelling. Any page containing affiliate links says so near the top, in plain language. Sponsored content is labelled as sponsored.
  • Limitations stay in. We include drawbacks and trade-offs whether or not a product earns us a commission.
  • Corrections. If a commercial relationship ever affects our content, we will correct it and say so.

How affiliate links work

If you follow an affiliate link and buy something, the retailer may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are marked, and we only link to products we have assessed on their merits.
