About

Better solutions already exist. Our role is to help you find them.

Circular Abundance is an independent platform for discovering, explaining and comparing the technologies, products and ideas that help us live, build and use resources more intelligently.

Our vision

A trusted place to explore what’s possible.

We’re building an international destination where homeowners, builders, businesses and curious people can discover practical solutions that improve quality of life, reduce waste and open up new opportunities.

We start with Australia, where the questions are close to home, while looking to solutions from around the world. Our approach is optimistic and evidence-based: curious about what’s new, careful about what’s proven, and always clear about the difference.

We think progress comes from better questions and shared knowledge. So we explain how things work, what they cost, where they deliver value and what limitations deserve consideration.

Innovation creates possibilities. Understanding makes them useful.

The name and the mark

Circular. Abundance. Together.

Circular stands for smarter resource use: efficiency, regeneration, reuse, repair, durability and systems designed to minimise waste.

Abundance stands for prosperity, opportunity and an improved quality of life, and for the potential of technology and innovation to create better outcomes for people and the planet.

Together they describe the possibility of greater prosperity through more intelligent and sustainable systems. The infinity symbol at the heart of our logo carries the same idea: continuous improvement, circular flows of resources, interconnected systems and endless possibilities. It joins technology, people and nature in a single ribbon.

The Circular Abundance logo: an infinity ribbon shifting from blue to green, holding a solar-powered home on one side and a tree on a hillside on the other, above the words Circular Abundance and the tagline Better solutions. A world of possibilities.

What we stand for

Six values shape everything we publish.

  • Curiosity

We explore ideas, ask questions and challenge assumptions, including our own.

  • Clarity

We explain complex technologies and products in language everyone can follow, without losing the detail that matters.

  • Independence

We give balanced assessments that include benefits, limitations and trade-offs.

  • Practicality

We focus on real-world usefulness: costs, performance and where something actually applies.

  • Progress

We celebrate innovation, experimentation and continuous improvement.

  • Responsibility

We consider environmental, economic and social outcomes together.

Independent by design.

Circular Abundance is a discovery and education platform. We’re enthusiastic about innovation, and we evaluate it critically.

  • We are not an activist organisation, and we avoid fear-based messaging and political advocacy.
  • We are not a manufacturer-sponsored promotional site, and we avoid exaggerated or unproven claims.
  • We don’t publish specifications, prices, test results or reviews that we can’t trace to a credible source.
  • If a commercial relationship exists, we disclose it clearly. See our Affiliate Disclosure.

How we label what we cover

  • Established technology

Commercially available, widely installed and with a real-world track record we can examine.

  • Emerging commercial solution

Available to buy, but newer. Less long-term evidence, so we say plainly what is still unproven.

  • Experimental research

Promising results in laboratories or pilots, not yet proven at scale or in the market.

  • Speculative concept

Interesting ideas worth understanding, clearly separated from anything you could buy or build today.

Where to start.

Pick an area that interests you.

  • Energy & Storage

Solar, batteries, efficiency and the systems that tie them together, from rental-friendly power to whole-home storage.

  • Better Buildings

Materials, construction methods and design ideas that make buildings more comfortable, durable and resource-smart.

  • Circular Living

Repairable, reusable and well-designed products, plus the recycling and recovery technologies that keep materials in play.

  • Future Innovations

Emerging technologies and research worth watching, with honest notes on how close each one is to real-world use.
